Yesterday was a HUGE milestone for RENT SODA’s new division – TRAINING POP. We conducted our first class at our new THINK TANK training center. I LOVE to say it:

First, let me give you some background on why PROFILING Your Way To Success – Selling to the Multi-Family Industry was strategically chosen to be our first official RENT SODA seminar and why we partnered with Michael Monroe Kiefer.
I met Michael Monroe Kiefer (also known as MMK for short) when I took his seminar 7 years ago. I was WOW’ed by the material – but even more so, by his presentation, delivery and humor. The seminar – the material was AWESOME. After all, Michael is a world-reknown scientist with data, experience, and laboratory studies to back-up his seminar. But what made it memorable are his funny, gut-clutching stories.
Believe me when I tell you, if you have to admit that you’ve pee’d a little bit because you laughed so hard during a class – you remember the PERSON, the story and the application for the rest of your life.
I can’t retell his stories, as its just not as funny when I repeat it . But, I CAN and DO emphatically tell EVERYONE every chance I get:
It’s the BEST class I’ve EVER taken, and take it from me – I am the eternal student.
- That’s saying A LOT.
What did I do with the material I had learned from Michael’s class? Within 6 months of actively applying his techniques, I was promoted within my company. Through the application of Michael’s techniques, I have since been able to land positions as Sales Director for a large manufacturing firm, COO for a property management company, and successfully launch and operate RENT SODA in an economically acidic environment. I have always been successful, but prior to Michael’s seminar, my success was slow and steady.
I attribute the accelerated change in my success to the exact moment the light bulb turned on for me – during Michael’s seminar.
After taking Michael’s class, I immediately bought his book, read all about him, stalked him online, before finally getting the courage to call him and see if he wanted to talk further about his class.
We got together, talked about his book, his material and his seminar. We hit it off, as friends, as student>mentor, and as soon-to-be collaborators. In what? We did not yet know – we just knew that we WOULD collaborate.
Naturally, when Jim & I wanted to bring the BEST within the industry and marry it to the BEST outside the industry to delivery KNOCK-YOUR-SOCKS off training, I naturally thought about MMK.
Our first ever RENT SODA collaboration with Michael was launched yesterday. I saw students came in be-grudgingly – probably sent here by their managers. I saw them settle into their chairs hoping to stay awake for most of the class. THEN, I saw them laugh until they had tears in their eyes, nod in emphatic agreement, and most of all PARTICIPATE in a class. I saw the change in their attitudes, posture, and eyes: they were actively mining their own experiences on how to change their interactions to become more successful at what they were selling.
Jim hit it home for us, by bringing the techniques Michael taught and applying it to our industry. We used the entire classroom, had the students share experiences and teach each other how to sell to them. This was a true workshop – our expert, MMK brought in the topic, and then EVERYONE applied it. The class was a true home run.
It’s only been less than 24 hours since the class, and I’ve already had 3 students call me brimming with ideas, talking my ear off. They had been RE-ENERGIZED and excited to apply the techniques they had learned yesterday.

This was an awesome class at Rent Soda. I wouls so agree that MMK was a knock your socks of training, not only did he keep me awake he actually kept me listening and sitting just a little bit of my chair. We have all been through a “get to know your customer class” but this was so much better and applicable. To learn profiling with a guy who trained FBI Profilers, that was so cool in itself. Jim was able to tie it all together in the afternoon, and gave us some practice time. I had several sales appointments today and all i could think about was my new profiling knowledge and how to apply it to my new customers. So thanks to MMK and Jim and to Rent Soda for a great class!!!!
This was a great class to attend. I learned all kinds of cool ways to read a customer and get to know the customers likes and dislikes. Mike was awesome, Jim was awesome, this was a great use of a day and a good tool to add to the bag. So take the time and attend this class!
